The biggest of steaks – it can weigh more than one kilogram! It owes its characteristic shape to the long bone from the front part of the dorsal muscle. That is why its name alludes to the throwing axe used by Indians.
Tomahawk steaks are cut out of prime rib, whose marbled structure makes them accordingly juicy and delicate. The meat will also be super tender after dry-ageing for at least 40 days.
The standard portions of the Tomahawk steak usually weigh from 800 to 1200 g.
